Case Studies & Testimonials: Life Coaching

Debbie: A difficult situation and some underlying issues

Debbie, a busy executive, was feeling dissatisfied with how her life was panning out. She thought that a life coach would be helpful in working out a few issues. The issues included time management, procrastination and a difficult situation which felt out of her control.

Through a series of sessions with some powerful questions taking Debbie to the heart of the issues, Debbie understood that she is not taking responsibility for her situation. This realisation alone, allowed her to make great strides. Further questions encouraged her to understand why she was procrastinating. She also made some practical steps towards improving her time-management. Debbie is now taking the bull by the horns and, with my support is working towards a much more positive situation.

Susan: Had too much on and needed focus

Susan worked part-time and looked after the kids for the rest of the time. She was feeling overwhelmed with the demands on her time and felt that she was not doing anything particularly well. She felt guilty that she wasn't spending more time with her kids but was struggling to achieve what she wanted at work...and the husband...oh him?!

Using a structured approach, we worked out which areas of her life were priorities to improve. By analysing these areas, we set practical goals for each area and then devised a sequence of realistic steps to help her achieve these goals. Even after the first session when we established the key areas she needed to focus on changing, she felt much more at ease and happier. Comfortable with the very structured approach we continued to with my BalancedMum method to improve each area in turn. She is now a much more satisfied Balanced Mum, and more accepting of her limitations.
